BACK WHEN I WAS A STUDENT, I PAID FEES TO SUPPORT MSUSA (WHICH WAS SORT OF A UNION FOR STUDENTS). I WAS ALSO ACTIVE IN STUDENT SENATE AND LOBBIED
FOR HIGHER EDUCATION FUNDING AT THE STATE LEVEL. THAT IS ABOUT THE ONLY THING I CAN THINK OF IN TERMS OF PERSONAL UNION EXPERIENCE. IT SEEMS TO ME BASIC COMMON SENSE
THAT MOST WORKERS SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO FORM LABOR UNIONS IN THEIR WORKPLACE AND THAT SUCH UNIONS SHOULD BE RECOGNIZED
YES, I AM A FREE-MARKET CAPITALIST AND YES, THAT INCLUDES SUPPORT FOR FREE TRADE
POLICIES, BUT WITH THE REQUIREMENT THAT FREE TRADE POLICIES BE A REWARD FOR NATIONS THAT ARE FREE THEMSELVES (I.E. RESPECT WORKERS RIGHTS). "FREE TRADE WITH FREE
NATIONS"!
I AM INVOLVED WITH THE MIDWEST VOTERS FOR EQUAL RIGHTS GROUP AND IT HAS A
PROPOSED CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT THAT WOULD PROTECT BASIC LABOR RIGHTS IN AMERICA.
