Religious Freedom, including the legal (not social or cultural) Church/State Separation

GENERALLY SPEAKING

  • I BELIEVE IN EQUAL FREEDOM FOR PEOPLE OF ALL FAITHS.  THE FIRST AMENDMENT SHOULD BE CONSISTENTLY AND REASONABLY APPLIED, EVEN WHEN I MAY DISAGREE WITH A PARTICULAR RELIGION, DENOMINATION OR SECT.
  • THE LEGAL -- NOT SOCIAL OR CULTURAL -- SEPARATION BETWEEN RELIGION AND GOVERNMENT IS ESSENTIAL TO PROTECTING RELIGIOUS FREEDOM.
